So we have to let him go. Sad, but true. We will stay friends, of course. And we still love each other.

Für mich zählt "Pirates In Black" zu den Top 10-Erstwerken im zu Ende gehenden 2019.
“Pirates In Black” macht Spaß! Öfter mal mit ziemlich dreckigem Klang, aber das hat jedes Mal das Bild von Freibeutern gefestigt.
Der Sound dieser Produktion (Peter Dirkschneider) ist [...] druckvoll-kompetent.
Diese Scheibe bietet durchweg gute Unterhaltung, ist keines Wegs versteift und streift musikalisch Southern Rock, Country, Heavy Metal und Rock 'n' Roll. Ein gelungener Einstand, der bei mir persönlich sicherlich immer wieder seinen Weg in den CD-Player finden wird.
Das Album ist abwechslungsreich und umfasst die ganze Bandbreite von Uptempo Nummern über stampfende Rocker bis zu ruhigeren Klängen. Man hört den Musikern die jahrelange Erfahrung an und ich bin sicher, dass sie live richtig klasse sind.
Wer ein solides, gut produziertes und wirklich ansprechendes Hardrock Album will und sucht, der ist hier richtig.
Das Debüt der Newcomer der Meere macht Spaß, ist abwechslungsreich und mehr als solide.
Pirates In Black erweist sich als überaus gelungene Debütscheibe. Zwischen kräftigem Groove und lässiger Rock-Attitüde entführt das Erstwerk in die Hochzeiten des klassischen Hard Rocks und wummert mit demselben breitbeinigen Charme aus den Boxen wie die Vorbilder vergangener Zeiten.
Musikalisch bewegen sich die schwarz gewandeten Freibeuter aber nicht in häufig vertretenen Power Metal Gefilden, sondern segeln in gediegenen Hard Rock Gewässern. Auch inhaltlich haben die Songs mehr zu bieten als die üblichen Klischee-Geschichten.
Pirates In Black ist ein solides Album [...] voller rockig-grooviger, wenn auch einfacher Klänge.
Pirates In Black machen als Songwriter einen guten Job und Tracks wie Player #6 haben Potenzial.
Pirates In Black bereichert die Szene ungemein, will ich meinen. Denn es steckt Feuer und Leben in der Musik. Leidenschaft gepaart mit edlen Gitarren Riffs und einer starken Stimme an Bord. Note 1.
Die gute Gitarrenarbeit mit gefühlvollen Soli wie bei „All Alone“, der kernige aber melodiöse Gesang und der echt klingende Gesamtsound lassen mich dieses Scheibchen gerade zu späterer Abendstunde gerne mal auflegen.
